CT: Computed Tomography (16 slice and 64 slice)
Computed Tomography is a scan of x-rays that produces detailed images of organs, bones, soft tissues and blood vessels. During the process, the CT rotates around your body taking images (slices) of the body. Small amounts of radiation are used. You will need an order from your physician for any CT exam.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging provides (MRI/MRA)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging provides high-resolution images of internal organs and tissues.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine is different from x-ray, ultrasound, and other diagnostic images in that it helps find disease in the body by viewing images that show structural change. Patients are given a radioactive material through injection, swallowing, or inhalation then an image is taken of the organ, bone or tissue in question.
Positron Emission Tomography
Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography is an imaging procedure where a radioactive nuclide is injected in the patient, then the patient is scanned to reveal growth abnormalities.
Ultrasound Imaging
Ultrasound exams produce live images that show movement and structure of internal organs. The process uses high frequency sound waves instead of ionizing radiation.
