Longmont is in the middle of the Front Range technology corridor that runs from Denver to Fort Collins—home and headquarters to many national high-tech, telecommunications, bio-tech, and scientific organizations.

Surrounding Communities

Denver has a full array of arts, entertainment, sports, cultural events and museums. For sports fans; Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche, Nuggets and Rapids games are here for your enjoyment. Denver is also home to several universities including Regis University, the University of Colorado at Denver, and the University of Denver. Boulder, ranked Best All Around “Dream Town,” Outside Magazine, Aug. 2006, is a haven for the sports enthusiast, yet offers a variety of cultural festivals. It is home to the National Center for Atmospheric Research, University of Colorado at Boulder, and the nationally known Bolder Boulder 10-k race held each Memorial Day. Pearl Street Mall is the place to be seen or just hang out especially in the summer. Fort Collins is located north of Longmont and is the home of Colorado State University. It is fifteen minutes away from the Cache la Poudre Canyon, which provides great outdoor opportunities including fishing, rafting and hiking. Greeley offers a glimpse of the contemporary American West with rodeos, open space and rolling prairies. The University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College are both located in Greeley.

Rocky Mountain National Park

The gem of the Front Range, Rocky Mountain National Park has 60 peaks rising over 12,000 feet and 359 mile of trails. Nature enthusiast will delight in the variety of visible wildlife throughout the park and it is only 35 minutes from Longmont.
