Welcoming Longmont United Hospital to the Centura Health family
Press Release for more Information
CONTINUING A LEGACY OF CARE
Longmont United Hospital has played a vital role in Northern Colorado for
nearly 60 years. Its long-standing relationship with the community and
the high quality, compassionate care its team has delivered for decades
remain unchanged following its affiliation with Centura Health. The merger
with Centura Health was finalized on August 14. Through this exciting
collaboration, Longmont United Hospital will continue to meet the health
care needs of surrounding communities for generations to come.
Longmont United Hospital decided to affiliate with Centura Health because
the two shared a similar vision and values, and because its system had
the necessary resources to thrive in this health care environment. Centura
Health will invest in the hospital’s growth and development, including
facilities and information technology, which will benefit both clinical
quality and patient care.
This new partnership expands the footprint of Centura Health and provides
residents in the Longmont area access to the region’s leading health
care network. During the next 18 to 24 months, Longmont United Hospital
and its affiliated physician practices will integrate their systems with
the Centura Health network, aligning providers and creating systems that
support improved convenience, care coordination and communication across
all Centura Health specialties and settings in Colorado and western Kansas.
SAME NAME, SAME CARE, SAME STAFF
Longmont United Hospital’s name, employees and strong focus on caring
for the community will remain the same. The medical staff and Foundation
will remain independent. Longmont United Hospital will continue to have
a local face and will be overseen by a local board of community directors
with the addition of a Centura Health representative. Additionally, there
are no anticipated changes to staffing, job responsibilities, salaries
or benefits at this time.
While the hospital will continue delivering the same services and excellent,
local care by the same providers that patients know and trust, it will
collaborate with Centura Health to identify if any gaps in health and
wellness services and resources exist in the community – and will
bring new health solutions and expanded services based on consumers’ needs.
Additionally, with Centura Health’s emphasis on promoting health
and wellness, Longmont United Hospital will deliver innovative health
solutions to empower consumers to partner with their primary care physician
to actively manage their health and wellness.
TAPPING ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
By joining the Centura Health family, Longmont United Hospital will be
working with approximately 18,100 of the best hearts and minds in medicine,
along with more than 6,000 physician partners and access to the most technologically
advanced tools available.
It will become the 16th hospital in the Centura Health network that also
includes two senior living communities, neighborhood health centers, physician
practices and clinics, home care and hospice services, and Flight For Life® Colorado. Together, Centura Health and Longmont United Hospital will work
to help the communities near Longmont make more informed choices about
health care, and improve their health and wellness.
