Healthcare Provider CPR Initial Certification Course
This course is designed for individuals who work in a healthcare setting. The course offers an opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain the knowledge and skills needed to perform CPR in a clinical or pre-hospital setting. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with the textbook prior to class. It is required that all students actively participate during the class and have the ability to perform all of the necessary skills. Please note that the American Heart Association requires that the skills for this course are performed on the floor and students must be able to perform the necessary skills in order to be certified. This class is very physically demanding.

Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal Course
This course is designed to recertify individuals with a current AHA Healthcare Provider Card. Please note that individuals will be asked to present a copy of their current card at the time of registration. This class is designed for individuals who work in a healthcare setting. The course offers an opportunity for healthcare professionals to refresh their knowledge and skills needed to perform CPR in a clinical or pre-hospital setting. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with the textbook prior to class. It is required that all students actively participate during the class and have the ability to perform all of the necessary skills. Please note that the American Heart Association requires that the skills for this course are performed on the floor and students must be able to perform the necessary skills in order to be certified.
This class is very physically demanding. A current Healthcare Provider CPR card is required- no exceptions.

HeartSaver CPR/AED Course for All Ages
This is an American Heart Association Course for people to learn more about and be certified in CPR. This class goes over Heart Saver CPR for adult, infant and child along with the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) as well as relief of choking. It is required that all students actively participate during the class and have the ability to perform all of the necessary skills. HeartSaver Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid
This class teaches the techniques of CPR and relief of choking for all ages. This class also discusses prevention techniques, as well as how to deal with emergencies focusing on family settings. Students will receive hands-on training with CPR, Choking, and Basic First Aid as well as gain a better understanding and knowledge of home safety for their child. This class will meet the requirements for Daycare Providers and Foster Care Providers. It is required that all students actively participate during the class and have the ability to perform all of the necessary skills. Please note that the American Heart Association requires that the skills for this course are performed on the floor and students must be able to perform the necessary skills in order to be certified.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support
The goal of the PALS Provider Course is to teach students how to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, to provide students with strategies for preventing cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children and to teach students to perform the cognitive and psychomotor skills for resuscitating and stabilizing infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest. Skills in bag-mask ventilations, management of the airway, defibrillation, and cardioversion plus the use of AED's are emphasized. A module approach including rhythm management is emphasized. This class is for those healthcare professionals such as pediatricians, house staff, emergency physicians, family physicians, nurse, paramedics, respiratory therapist and healthcare providers who are responsible for responding the emergencies in infants and children. All participants must be certified in basic life support at the time of the course and provide proof of this upon registration. This is not an entry-level course. It is expected that all participants will have read the text prior to the first day of class. Please note that the emphasis is on testing of competency and the team. approach to resuscitation. A pre-course exam needs to be completed prior to your first day of class.
Those wishing to renew must have a current BLS Provider card and a current PALS Provider card. An American Heart Association course completion card is awarded upon successful completion of all aspects of the course.
