Gifts to the general fund are used to build the Longmont United Hospital Foundation’s endowment. The general fund is an essential part of the Longmont United Hospital Foundation’s growth and your gifts enable it to continue operating for the hospital’s benefit. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

The Longmont United Hospital Foundation is dedicated exclusively to supporting healthcare services at Longmont United Hospital through philanthropy. One of the primary goals of the Foundation is to help ensure that Longmont United Hospital will have the best possible facilities and equipment to help you and your loved ones when medical care is needed. Equipment and Technology

Longmont United Hospital is fortunate to provide some of the most advanced and sophisticated medical technology available. Your gifts will help ensure that the hospital will continue to offer state of the art diagnostics, treatments, and information systems.

Hope Cancer Care Center

Since its opening in 1996 the Hope Cancer Care Center has enabled patients in Longmont United Hospital’s service area to receive critical lifesaving radiation therapy close to home. Gifts to this important service will be used for many different areas in the center as needs arise.
 

Health Ambitions Scholarships

Your support will help those people who need to continue their wellness programs but don't have the necessary income to do so. These scholarships will enable people to complete their exercise rehabilitation program and return to an improved quality of life.

Chaplaincy Program

Helping people on their spiritual journey is an important part of Longmont United Hospital's Planetree philosophy. Longmont United Hospital Chaplaincy Program provides spiritual comfort to patients, staff, and family members. It is essential that people have access to a trained spiritual counselor. Your support will help this program thrive at our hospital.

Healthcare Career Scholarships/Loans

We also believe the foundation of an excellent hospital is its Employees. Your gifts will help keep Longmont United Hospital competitive and attract the best employees. The Foundation offers merit-based scholarships/loans to students desiring to pursue educational opportunities for careers in the healthcare field in a hospital setting. As of June 2010, 228 Scholarships have been awarded to 144 deserving students totaling $500,823. Scholarships will vary in amount depending on the individual applicants and funds available. Awards are given for tuition assistance only. To be eligible, all pre-requisite course work must be completed and the applicant must already be accepted into their program of study. Applications are available the first week in January and due back the last business day in March each year.
