Meet Your Oncology Nurse Navigator
Dealing with all the new emotions and decisions surrounding your cancer
diagnosis can be overwhelming. To help you through this process, an Oncology
Nurse Navigator is available to provide you with education, support and advocacy.

Understanding your diagnosis and treatment plan, and maintaining your health.
Staying informed about your plan of care.
Coordinating services throughout your cancer journey.
Communicating with your health care providers.
Benefits of navigation
Our navigator is your advocate, assisting and supporting the physician/patient
relationship. The goal is to enhance your quality of life, provide a sense
of independence and help you manage your own health.
Navigation services are free of charge to patients, families and caregivers
as a service of Longmont United Hospital.
Education about your cancer treatment and managing possible side effects
Helping prepare for surgery and recovery
Access to other hospital and community resources; including financial and
transportation assistance, legal aid, and support programs
Care for emotional and spiritual needs and assistance with finding support
Helping connect you to integrative therapy options such as acupuncture,
nutrition and massage services
Planning the next steps after completion of treatment
Availability to meet in person or over the phone, free of charge
Ananda Badet, RN, OCN, BSN, is an Oncology Certified Nurse. She attended University of Colorado Health
Sciences Center and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has
been a cancer nurse for more than ten years, working throughout the Denver
area, as well as at Stanford Hospital and University of New Mexico Hospital.
She is honored to serve the Longmont community.
