Centura Health Emergency & Urgent Care Center

Indian Peaks Medical Center in Frederick, CO

High fevers, severe illnesses and injuries that may cause debilitating consequences are always causes for concern, but they don’t always occur during regular office hours. It can also be difficult to determine whether certain symptoms require a trip to the emergency room. The Centura Health Emergency and Urgent Care Center at Indian Peaks takes the guess work out by combining 24/7 urgent and emergent care in the same facility.

How It Works

The Centura Health Emergency and Urgent Care Center at Indian Peaks offers both urgent care and emergency care in the same facility and is available to patients 24/7. Our board-certified emergency professionals will determine the type of care a patient requires on a case-by-case basis. To determine the type of care, healthcare providers with the center systematically triage each patient and their condition and decide the most appropriate course of action. Patients will be treated and billed only for the level of care they receive.

Convenience

This hybrid model of care offers enhanced convenience and access to healthcare for our patients. The facility offers both urgent and emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. This makes the center an ideal place to take children who are in pain because of a simple ear infection or case of strep-throat. These types of minor health conditions are typically expensive to treat in emergency rooms but they can be effectively treated in the urgent care center of the facility. Instead of investing significant time and money into an emergency room visit, minor health conditions can be treated in a more appropriate setting, in the same center. However, cases needing emergent treatment can be cared for by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, or transferred to an acute care center.
