Physical Therapy helps restore movement and function in individuals who
are experiencing pain and/or disability that affect quality of life. Disorders
may result from an extended illness, loss of limb, sports injuries, accidents
or strokes. The Physical Therapists (PT's) at Longmont United Hospital
help patients attain their optimal function by providing a variety of services.
An Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluates and treats various diagnoses due
to physical injury, illness, developmental and/or social challenges that
limit functional independence. The goal for occupational therapy at Longmont
United Hospital is to work with individuals to promote health, well-being
and further assist individuals to achieve a balance between self-care
and leading productive and satisfying lives.
Speech and Language Pathology
Longmont United Hospital offers comprehensive speech therapy services from
with highly experienced speech therapists who work with patients to assess
their speech or swallowing disorder and implement and individualized treatment
plan specific to their problem. Our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or
Speech Therapist) specialize in educating and treating communication,
swallowing and cognitive disorders related to adult neurological impairment
in an outpatient setting.
