Senior Services

AgeWell, an award-winning service of Longmont United Hospital, is the “go-to” resource for 55+ adults on how to stay healthy. The AgeWell team includes registered nurses and other wellness specialists who are ready to guide you to healthy choices through consults and referrals to classes, services, programs or other appropriate resources. Our unique partnership with the City of Longmont Senior Services Division connects us to our community and enables us to expand our health and wellness offerings. Together, we create programs, share knowledge and support each other in our common mission to enhance the well-being of older adults.

Wellness Clinic - The Nurse is In!

Be proactive and preventive about your health. Stop by our office and meet with our nurse for a quick health check.

Time: Mondays, 9 a.m. - noon
Walk-ins welcome, no appointment necessary.

Advance Directives

There is no better time than the present to consider and clarify your wishes for medical treatment in the event you cannot speak for yourself. Preparing documents expressing those wishes in advance is a true gift to yourself, as well as your loved ones and your doctor. AgeWell offers a monthly Advance Directive class that provides you with the necessary forms and information about resources to assist your advance care planning.

Cost: $5 Longmont resident, $6 non-resident

Meditation Class

Studies have shown that meditation can help with both physical and emotional stress. This weekly class teaches a variety of meditation techniques, both basic and advanced, to suit individual needs. Exercises include breathing, imagining, stimulating memory, changing negative emotions to positive ones and silent reflection.

Time: Thursdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
New series begins each month.

United Health & Wellness

United Health & Wellness, a service of Longmont United Hospital, was created for adults, especially seniors, and for people who have been ill or have had an injury. A therapy gym and warm water pool provide wellness and exercise options in a medically safe environment. Exercise Specialists are available to help guide you through a wellness program that works best for you. Group fitness classes are also available.

Location: Longmont United Hospital,1950 W. Mountain View Ave.
Cost: $6 drop-in fee to use the pool or gym/attend group fitness classes. Monthly/yearly membership fees are available with additional discounts for 55+ adults.

Integrative Therapy Services

Health Center of Integrated Therapies (HCIT), a service of Longmont United Hospital, has over 20 practitioners who offer integrative therapy services including:
• Massage Therapy
• Acupuncture
• Healing Touch/Reiki
• Nutrition/Herbal Consultations
• Watsu (water massage)

HCIT believes that optimal health depends on harmony and balance throughout all seasons of your life. Integrative therapies can support your wellness during times of health, as well as during the most complex medical diagnosis and treatments.

Location: Longmont Medical Campus, 1551 Professional Lane, Suite 125.
Cost: While these services are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid, they are available for affordable private pay rates with additional discounted rates for 55+ adults. Some private insurance may also cover these services.
