Milestone Internal Medicine’s focus of care is adult health. The physicians are trained in Internal Medicine and often are called Internists. Internists act as primary care physicians with training specifically in adult illnesses. In simple, internists help patients prevent adult illnesses, as well as, find and treat it.
As an affiliate of Longmont United Hospital, Milestone Internal Medicine follows the Planetree Model of Care. This includes educating the patient on their diagnosis, treatment options and recovery. We encourage the patient to be active in their health by asking questions. Often referred to as patient-centered care, we focus on helping activate a patient’s interest in his or her own optimal health.

Physician Sue Ann Meyer, MD
Dr. Meyer is Board Certified by the American Board in both Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She completed her MD and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Her Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship were completed in New York at the Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Meyer enjoys being involved in the community as well as spending time with her horse and dog.
