What to Expect When You Visit Longmont United Hospital

Welcome to Longmont United Hospital! Here, you will find all the resources you need to help guide you through your first visit to our facility. Whether you are a patient or a visitor, we hope that you find this page useful and informative.

We are a premier health care facility that serves the communities in Longmont and the surrounding areas, focusing on putting the needs of our clients first and foremost. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and welcome all visitors at any time, unless not permitted by doctor's request. To help promote your loved one's healing and to prevent spread of disease, please wash your hands when entering or leaving the room and postpone your visit if you are ill. Children may visit only if supervised by an adult at all times.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

When is the gift shop open?

Located in the main lobby, the gift shop hours of availability are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Saturdays the gift shop is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and on Sundays, the shop is open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gift shop is closed on holidays. You can find items such as cards, flowers, gifts, candy, and magazines. Reach the shop directly at (303) 485-4173.

Where can a visitor get coffee and something to eat?

Coffee is available in the family dining areas located on each floor. We also have several eateries for our guests to choose from, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, and snacks:

  • The Artwalk Café: Mon.-Fri. 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; weekends & holidays 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • The Coffee Cart: Open every day, 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • The Pulse Café: Mon.-Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., weekends & holidays 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

What are the hours for the main lobby?

For security reasons the main lobby entrance is locked at 9:00 p.m. If you are visiting from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., you will need to enter from the emergency department entrance. Proceed to the Emergency Department Welcome Desk to receive your Visitor ID sticker.

Where can I get transportation to the hospital?
Bus schedules are available at the main information desk between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. For direct assistance, visit RTD Denver. Longmont Call-N-Ride is a curb-to-curb service that can be scheduled two hours to two weeks in advance. For direct assistance, call (303) 994-3551 or visit Longmont Call-N-Ride.

Special Transit is now called "Via." Via promotes self-sufficiency for people with limited mobility by providing caring, customer-focused transportation options. For more information visit Via Colorado.

Where can I park?

Longmont United Hospital offers free valet parking to all of our patients and visitors. Our valet service operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and tipping is not required!

Am I allowed to bring food from home for a patient in Longmont United Hospital?

Our family kitchens offer unique options for patient dining. Food may be prepared here or brought from home, so long as it has been arranged with your nurse and is allowed in the diet prescribed by your physician.

Our goal at Longmont United Hospital is to provide patient-centered care and to work with you to meet your healthcare needs.
