Acupuncture is based on the principle that health is maintained by a balanced flow of energy, or chi, throughout our bodies. Illness is associated with an imbalance in the flow of this energy. If you have been living with chronic or acute pain, or just desire to maintain or improve your health, you may want to try this ancient Chinese healing system. The practitioner inserts very fine needles into specific points along the energy pathways, or meridians, in the body. It is relatively painless and only disposable needles are used. We also offer Acupuncture for Smoking Cessation and Weight Loss.

The CranioSacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Since this vital system influences the development and performance of these areas of the body, an imbalance or restriction in it could potentially cause any number of sensory, motor or neurological disabilities. These problems could include chronic pain, eye difficulties, learning disabilities and other health challenges. CranioSacral Therapy is gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your own natural healing mechanism to dissipate these negative effects of stress on your central nervous systems.

Reiki and Healing Touch are ancient healing therapies that use a hands-on technique to balance life force energy. When an injury occurs, there is not only pain, but a loss of energy from the injury site. Restoration of this energy is at the heart of these therapies. Reiki and Healing Touch work by balancing and restoring the body's natural healing abilities and assist in breaking the cycle of stress.

LaStone Therapy utilizes smooth, dense, heated stones to warm your muscles, allowing deeper working of the tissues. The stones are initially placed on, along, and under the body. Once you are relaxed and warm, the therapist will select stones to begin the actual massage. This work is guaranteed to deliver a deeply therapeutic, relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Regular massage can reduce stress and muscle tension, relieve pain, rid the body of lactic acid buildup (which causes stiffness and cramps) and enhance immune function, thereby contributing to an overall feeling of wellness. Massage also provides an expanded awareness of the body, mind, emotion and spirit, which can create a sense of increased balance and harmony and encourage our taking greater responsibility for our own health and well-being.

Reflexology supports the body's ability to self-heal. Modern reflexology is both an art and a science - joining the ancient approach with today’s concept of energy zones that run throughout the entire body. As each zone in the hands or feet is worked, all the organs, glands, and tissue in that zone are brought into a more balanced state of health. Benefits include stress reduction, improved circulation, deep relaxation and increased body awareness.

This ancient form of Oriental massage is similar to Acupuncture but instead of needles, finger pressure is applied to specific points along the meridians. Releasing these points helps the chi flow more freely. Shiatsu also involves active stretching and is helpful for aches, pains and chronic symptoms.
